Half Day Old Cairo:

Enjoy a trip to visit the heartland of Egypt ̍̍s Coptic community, a heaven of tranquility and peace and rich in history. In this half day excursion you will visit the following: The Hanging Church: (El Muallaqa) derives its name from its location on top of the southern tower gate of the old Babylon fortress (in Old, or Coptic Cairo). It is the most famous Coptic Christian church in Cairo, as well as the first built in Basilcan style (possibly). Church of Abu Serga: The Church of Saints Sergius and Bacchus is a 4th century church and today is considered to be the oldest of Cairo's Christian churches. It is dedicated to two early martyrs and traditionally believed to have been built on the spot where the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and the infant Christ, rested at the end of their journey into Egypt. The Synagogue of Ben Ezra: Lying at the end point of church buildings is reported to have been erected in the 6th or presumably the 9th Century AD. The temple site and the surrounding grounds, originally a property of the church, was acquired by the Jews in return for "kantars of gold". Than back to your hotel

The Refa'i Mosque: Designed by Mustapha Fahmi with a Bahri Mameluke style, the Refa'i Mosque faces the Sultan Hassan Mosque and is named after a Muslin holy man, Shekh Ali Abu El-Shoubak who is buried here.
